Is it safe to visit Syria?
Yes, it is safe. The majority of Syrian territories offer a safe environment for visitors, with the only exceptions being the north-west and north-east regions. However, the country’s major cities present secure havens for exploration.
Crime Rate and Security Measures
Despite the ongoing challenges and economic hardship, Syria remains remarkably safe with a very low crime rate. It’s a secure destination for solo exploration, day or night, with minimal concerns. Pickpocketing is uncommon, and leaving belongings in a car doesn’t invite theft. Travelers need not hide valuables. Women can confidently wander alone, enjoying a unique cultural experience with a strong sense of security.
Food, health and Medical Facilities
The food in Syria is healthy and organic due to its volcanic soil. Lamp and chicken are of a high quality since the animals eat organic. The Syrian kitchen has a variety of food, even for vegans and vegetarians. Food poisoning is very uncommon and our carefully selected restaurants and food street shops ensure hygiene and fresh food. Tap water is drinkable, but we always recommend our tourists to drink from sealed water bottles just as precaution.
Medicine is affordable in Syria and they are high quality. Pharmacies are available everywhere and for 24 hours. Hospitals are available also and treatment is very cheap and it is free for the first aids.
Transportation in Syria
Syria has a 70,000 km of highways all of which are safe and in a good condition. The cars we use are reliable and comfortable and our drivers are skillful and experienced. For our group tours, we use the Hyundai County that fits up to 24 passengers or Hyundai H1 that fits up to 5 passengers, whereas for our individual tours we use sedan cars. All the cars we use have AC.

Safety Tips for Travelers
As the majority of the country is now under the control of the Syrian government, making most places accessible for tourism, there are still areas to avoid. Your tour guide is there to help navigate these places.
Given that many embassies and consulates are presently closed in Syria, we advise tourists to periodically check their passports. You’ll need your passport for border crossings and hotel check-ins, so always double-check that you receive it back at borders after handing it over for stamping and after checking in at your hotel.
