A newly announced musical and vocal evening bringing the melodies of Syria’s Jazira region to the Drama Theatre stage. It offers visitors an opportunity to experience a contemporary performance inside one of the capital’s principal cultural venues. Tickets are sold through the Opera House box office; advance purchase and same-day confirmation are recommended.
Confirmed highlights across Syria
The first edition of Syria’s annual visual arts exhibition brings together more than 200 works by 197 established and emerging artists. Painting, sculpture, graphic art, Arabic calligraphy, ceramics and photography explore themes including memory, place, displacement, nature and abstraction. Five talks and three specialist workshops accompany the exhibition, making it one of the strongest introductions to Syria’s contemporary art scene this month.

Jordanian singer Al Akhras returns to Syria for a coastal concert featuring the contemporary Arabic pop and romantic songs that have made him especially popular with younger audiences. Tickets are reportedly available through Evento; visitors should check the ticket for the confirmed starting time.

A shared walking tour through the essential layers of Damascus, bringing international and local guests together with a licensed Syrian guide. A weekly evening of classic Arabic tarab inside one of Old Damascus’s best-known courtyard houses. The intimate music and historic setting make this an especially rewarding local experience for visitors, who can enjoy traditional songs while dining beneath the house’s ornate Ottoman-era architecture.
