Travellers flying to or from Syria now have a more reliable place to look for airport information.
The Syrian General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport launched new official websites for Damascus International Airport and Aleppo International Airport on 10 July 2026. Both websites are currently operating in an experimental phase while the authority collects feedback and makes further technical improvements.
Until now, travellers searching online often found unofficial airport websites that were not operated by the Syrian aviation authorities. The new platforms make it easier to identify an official source and access information directly from each airport.
What can travellers find on the new websites?
Both websites are available in Arabic and English and follow a similar layout.
Passengers can use them to find:
- Scheduled arrivals and departures.
- Flight numbers, routes and airline information.
- Lists of airlines operating from each airport.
- Airport locations and maps.
- Lost-property information.
- Guidance about prohibited items.
- Airport Wi-Fi information.
- Contact details.
- Forms for complaints and suggestions.
The flight pages can be filtered by arrival or departure, airline and travel date. They are designed to display the flight’s scheduled time, route, gate and current status.
Official Damascus International Airport website
The Damascus airport website covers flights, airlines and services available at the airport. It also includes information about its location, approximately 25 kilometres southeast of central Damascus, as well as contact and passenger-service pages.

Official Aleppo International Airport website
Aleppo International Airport now has a separate official platform offering the same main services. It includes flight information, operating airlines, passenger guidance and the airport’s location around 13 kilometres east of central Aleppo.

Are the flight schedules reliable?
The websites are a useful step forward, but travellers should remember that they are still in a trial phase. Some sections may be incomplete, and live flight information may occasionally fail to load or take time to update.
For this reason, passengers should continue to confirm their flight directly with the operating airline, especially before leaving for the airport. This is particularly important for newly introduced routes or during periods when regional conditions may affect airline schedules.
The airport website should be used as an additional source of information rather than the only confirmation that a flight is operating.
Useful advice before travelling
Before a flight to or from Damascus or Aleppo, we recommend:
- Checking the airport website for the latest listed schedule.
- Confirming the flight through the airline’s official website or customer service.
- Rechecking the departure time on the day of travel.
- Allowing additional time for airport procedures.
- Keeping the airline’s contact details and booking reference available.
- Contacting the tour operator if the flight time changes.
Travellers should also make sure they are using the new government-operated websites. Several other pages online use airport names but are not official platforms of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority.
A useful improvement for visitors
The launch of the two websites is a simple but important improvement for international travellers. As Syria’s flight network continues to grow, having official English-language airport information should make arrivals, departures and last-minute schedule checks easier.
The authority says that both websites will continue to be developed and updated based on feedback received during the experimental period.
