These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all tours, services, and travel arrangements provided by Syrian Guides (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking any service with Syrian Guides, the client (“you”, “traveler”, “participant”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.
Please read them carefully before confirming a tour.
1. About Syrian Guides
Syrian Guides is a licensed tour guiding and travel services provider in Syria.
We arrange private tours, group tours, visa facilitation, transportation, and custom itineraries for visitors wishing to explore Syria safely and responsibly.
2. Eligibility & Client Responsibilities
By booking with Syrian Guides, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old (or accompanied by a legal guardian).
- You hold a valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the date of entry.
- You have carefully reviewed the itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, and fitness requirements.
- You agree to follow local laws, cultural norms, and instructions from your guide at all times.
- You will provide accurate personal information for visa/security clearance and tour arrangements.
- You acknowledge that traveling in a post-conflict country involves unique risks and logistical challenges.
Failure to follow instructions or local regulations may result in removal from the tour without refund.
3. Booking Process
A booking is considered confirmed only when:
- You submit your tour request through our website, WhatsApp, or email.
- You provide all required personal information and passport details.
- You receive written confirmation from Syrian Guides.
- You pay the required deposit (if applicable).
All communication and confirmations are made electronically.
4. Visa & Entry Requirements
Syrian Guides assists with the visa/security clearance process, but:
- We are not the issuing authority.
- Approval is granted solely at the discretion of Syrian immigration authorities.
- Clearance cannot be guaranteed under any circumstances.
- You must provide accurate passport details; errors may lead to rejection.
- Clearance fees or administrative fees may be non-refundable if your application is denied.
Travelers are responsible for checking international travel restrictions applicable to their nationality.
5. Tour Prices, Inclusions & Exclusions
Unless otherwise stated, tour prices are in USD.
Prices typically include:
- Licensed English-speaking guide
- Private transportation with driver
- Accommodation (if stated)
- Security clearance assistance
- Daily itinerary and coordination
- Entrance fees (if stated in your package)
Prices typically exclude:
- International flights
- Travel insurance
- Personal expenses
- Meals unless specified
- Optional activities
- Visa fees at the airport or border
- Tips and gratuities
Syrian Guides reserves the right to adjust prices before confirmation due to changes in local costs, exchange rates, or fuel prices.
6. Payments
Syrian Guides accepts:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Cash upon arrival
Deposit & Balance
- A deposit may be required to secure your booking depending on tour type.
- The remaining balance is due prior to the tour or upon arrival as specified in your confirmation message.
All payment instructions will be provided in writing.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

In brief:
Cancellation by the client:
- Cancellations made fewer than the specified days before arrival may incur charges.
- Some costs (hotels, drivers, permits) may be non-refundable if already paid to suppliers.
Cancellation by Syrian Guides:
We may cancel or modify a tour due to:
- Security developments
- Road closures
- Force majeure
- Guide illness
- Government decisions
If we cancel, you will be offered:
- A full refund OR
- The option to reschedule
Syrian Guides is not responsible for additional costs incurred (flights, visas, insurance, etc.).
8. Changes to Itinerary (Flexibility Clause)
Syria experiences occasional logistical and security-related changes.
Therefore:
- Itineraries may be adjusted at any time for safety reasons.
- Alternative sites or routes may be substituted.
- Timing may change due to checkpoints, roadblocks, weather, traffic, or local events.
These adjustments do not constitute grounds for refunds.
9. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for travel in Syria.
Syrian Guides offers the following insurance options:
Group Tours
Travel insurance is included in all Syrian Guides group tours.
Coverage details will be shared with participants before the start of the tour.
Private Tours
Travel insurance is available upon request for private tour bookings.
If you wish to add insurance, please inform us in advance so we can arrange it on your behalf.
Responsibility & Limitations
- Insurance coverage varies depending on the provider and policy terms; clients must read their policy carefully.
- All insurance policies are issued by third-party providers, not by Syrian Guides directly.
- Any claims are handled directly between the traveler and the insurer according to their policy terms.
- Clients choosing not to request or purchase insurance acknowledge that they travel at their own risk.
10. Health, Fitness & Safety
You are responsible for evaluating your fitness for travel.
By joining a tour, you acknowledge:
- Some walking, stairs, uneven surfaces, or long drives may be required.
- You must inform us of any medical conditions in advance.
- You accept the inherent risks of traveling in a country with variable infrastructure and history of conflict.
Syrian Guides is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, or accidents outside our control.
11. Liability Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Syrian Guides is not liable for losses, damages, delays, or expenses caused by third parties such as hotels, drivers, restaurants, or external service providers.
- We are not liable for force majeure events, including political instability, security incidents, natural disasters, or government actions.
- Our liability, if proven, is limited to the amount paid for the tour.
Clients participate voluntarily and at their own risk.
12. Force Majeure
Syrian Guides is not responsible for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
- War, civil unrest
- Terrorist activity
- Government regulations
- Border closures
- Strikes or protests
- Natural disasters
- Health emergencies
No refunds are provided for unused services caused by force majeure.
13. Appropriate Conduct
We reserve the right to remove from a tour any traveler who:
- Endangers others or themselves
- Violates local laws
- Acts disrespectfully toward staff, guides, or communities
- Refuses to follow safety instructions
No refunds will be issued for early termination due to misconduct.
14. Photography, Media & Privacy
- We may take photos during tours for documentation or promotional use.
- We will always ask before sharing identifiable images of clients.
- Passport details are collected solely for visa/security clearance and are not shared except as required by Syrian authorities.
- We do not sell or distribute personal data.
Clients may request that their image not be used.
15. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
If you have concerns:
- Inform your guide immediately so we can address the issue on the spot.
- If unresolved, contact us at info@syrianguides.com within 7 days of the tour.
Any legal disputes shall be governed by applicable Syrian law unless otherwise agreed in writing.
16. Amendments to These Terms
Syrian Guides may update these Terms at any time.
The version in effect at the time of booking will apply to your trip.
