At Syrian Guides, we believe that booking your Syria tour should feel simple, transparent, and stress-free. Our policies are designed to protect both you as a traveler and us as your local operator, ensuring that your tour is properly arranged and supported from the moment you make your reservation. Please read this page carefully to understand how payments, deposits, and cancellations work when booking with us.

Booking and Deposit

To confirm any tour, we require a 30% deposit at the time of booking.
This deposit allows us to begin arranging the essential services for your trip, including hotel reservations, drivers and transportation, local guides, and any necessary permits or paperwork. These arrangements often begin immediately after the booking is received.

Your booking is considered confirmed once the deposit is paid.
The deposit becomes non-refundable after 48 hours, except in cases described in our cancellation terms below.

We encourage travelers to book only when they are confident about their travel dates, as we commit resources on your behalf right away.

How to Make Your Payment (Visa & Credit Card Payments)

Once your tour is confirmed, we will send a secure payment link to your email, which allows you to pay the deposit or the final balance using:

• Visa
• Mastercard
• Any major credit or debit card

The payment link is processed through a trusted international payment provider, ensuring that your transaction is safe, encrypted, and easy to complete from any country.

Final Payment

The remaining 70% of the tour cost can be paid in one of the following ways:

Option A – Pay on Arrival

You may pay the balance in cash upon arrival in Syria.
Many travelers choose this option because it feels flexible and convenient. It also allows you to settle the payment only after meeting our team in person.

Option B – Pay Before Arrival

If you want to complete your payments before traveling, you may pay the remaining balance 14 days before your arrival date.
We will send you another secure payment link to your email for Visa/Mastercard or credit card payment.

Both options are available, and you may choose the one that makes you feel most comfortable.

Free Cancellation Window

You may cancel your booking within 48 hours of reservation, free of charge, as long as your tour start date is at least 30 days away.
This gives you a short window to adjust your plans without any cost.

After 48 hours, the 30% deposit becomes non-refundable, as we begin securing hotels, transportation, and other logistical arrangements immediately.

Cancellation After Final Payment

If you have already paid the full amount and need to cancel, the refund rules are as follows:

• 30+ days before arrival: Deposit is non-refundable; all additional payments are refunded in full.
• 15–29 days before arrival: 50% of the total tour cost is refunded.
• 7–14 days before arrival: 25% of the total tour cost is refunded.
• 0–6 days before arrival: No refund is available, due to commitments made to hotels, drivers, guides, and services already booked.

These conditions follow standard policies used by international tour operators, especially in destinations where travel arrangements must be secured in advance.

Rescheduling Your Tour

If you prefer to change your travel dates rather than cancel, we are happy to assist.

• More than 14 days before arrival: Date changes are free of charge.
• Less than 14 days before arrival: A small fee may apply, depending on hotel and driver availability.

We always try to be flexible whenever possible.

If Syrian Guides Cancels Your Tour

If, for any unexpected reason, we must cancel your tour—such as sudden site closures, weather-related issues, or other local circumstances—you will receive a 100% full refund of all payments made.
